The name of this painting was inspired from Song of Songs 2:10-12 :

”My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me. See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come…”

The swallows are a universal sign for “New Beginnings” and felt like the perfect subject. There are layers and layers, including the hymn “Great is Thy Faithfulness,” many more scriptures (Jeremiah 29:11-13, Isaiah 43:19, 2 Corinthians 3:18, Psalm 90:2, I Peter 1:25, Hebrews 13:8) and my attempt at Greek script from Revelation 4:8b. It’s like the entire piece with all of the tiny details are singing praise! It was such a beautiful, worshipful experience creating this. I hope it releases encouragement for brighter days ahead—your own “season of singing” is near!
