About Amber Leilani
Amber has been a lifelong creative with art achievements as a child leading to a minor in art from Charleston Southern University. She taught high school art, and has led children and adult art classes over the years. Currently, Amber is a member of the Swannanoa Valley Fine Arts League and has artwork featured in The Red House Gallery in Black Mountain, NC.
Amber’s medium is primarily acrylic paints with collage and paper mixed in the layers. Her process of creating is the most meaningful part of Amber’s work. She is intentional to invite God into the details and spend time in prayer while she creates. She utilizes the hiddenness and mystery of painting in layers. Her work is said to release peace, bring joy, and uplift.
Amber Leilani was born in Hawaii and spent much of her childhood in the Cayman Islands and Florida. Her mother, who was born and raised in Greenville, SC, brought the family back to SC in 1992 and Amber has called the Carolinas “home” for over 30 years.
People who know Amber describe her as a person of peace, positive, and an encourager. She genuinely loves people. Those attributes are woven into her art and are felt by those who get to experience it.
