The heart behind this piece is the sincere prayer that everyone that encounters it will somehow know that they are seen and loved by God.It began with prayer for the residents and visitors of our special town of Black Mountain, NC.The first layer consists of words of radical love, hearts, scripture from Revelation 4:8b, and lyrics from the song “God of This City.”The hummingbird and flower are magnified in this painting.There are eyes all around the hummingbird, watching and caring for something so small, yet very significant.May you, too, know that you are seen and dearly loved.
